The 21 km Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 11 October across a breath-taking course that will take the participants through the enchanting landscapes of Locarno and along the shores of Ascona’s picturesque lake.

The course is approved by Swiss Athletics and has international homologation.

The 21 km Half Marathon is open to everyone, regardless of nationality or affiliation with an athletics club.

The title of Ticino Absolute Champion will also be awarded.

In order to participate in the Ticino championships, it is mandatory to register only with the name of your FTAL club and to run in the official T-shirt.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place from 13:00 in Piazza Grande.

The first three participants to cross the finish line in each category will receive a prize, as per the categories indicated below.

Moreover, the fastest three runners overall male and female in the 21km Half Marathon will receive a prize.

Any unclaimed prizes will remain the property of the organiser.

The “Ascona-Locarno Run” event is organised under the patronage and directives of the Swiss Athletics Federation (Swiss Athletics).

The route is approved by Swiss Athletics.

Medical certificates or Federation memberships are not required in order to take part in the “Ascona-Locarno Run” races; however, by registering to take part, each participant declares to be in “good physical health, to be eligible to take part in a running race, and to have medical confirmation of this”.

In any case, the organisers of the “Ascona-Locarno Run” accept no liability.
